Hi everyone! When I was a kid, I used to spend hours during the holidays playing a simple dice game with my grandparents on a hand-drawn piece of paper. I recently remembered it and did some research, only to discover with huge surprise that our little "homemade game" is actually centuries old! It’s called Glückshaus (House of Fortune) and was a massively popular tavern game in the Holy Roman Empire during the 15th and 16th centuries. Fascinated by its rich history, I decided to turn that old piece of paper into a real project. I modeled an elegant circular board along with some medieval-style coins to recreate the authentic historic atmosphere. Did any of you play this as a kid, or have similar memories of traditional games? If you want to bring a piece of history to your table, you can find the model and the rules on my profile.
Did you know the history of Glückshaus?
Yes, I used to play it!
No, great discovery!
