Replaced the nasal stock MEC single coil neck pickup in my Star Bass 5-string with a DiMarzio Split P (DP127) — a 4-string pickup that covers all five strings thanks to its wide magnetic field. Mounted in reverse P orientation for balanced output. 3D-printed adapter frame uses original screw holes. No routing, fully reversible. Sounds fantastic — finally a neck pickup worthy of this bass!
