Kitchen Essentials Shadow Board

Bill of Materials
Description
This project started when I got annoyed of utilizing a plastic lid in my kitchen. It held my dish soap, scrubber, and sponge, but it was too small and flimsy to move around conveniently. I wanted something sturdy and easy to lift from the sink to my cabinet. You may ask why go thru this trouble, well, I live in a household full of renters and we need to maintain cleanliness. That’s why I designed this 3D-printed tray. It offers a more spacious, stable surface and fits easily into my storage space, so I can keep things neat and tidy.
Feel free to print this tray for your own kitchen or any area where you need an organized spot for cleaning supplies. Make sure to double-check the dimensions to see if they match your sink or storage space. If needed, you can always modify the design to fit your requirements.
Additionally, I’ve created a documentation on how to build a “Shadow Board.” In essence, a Shadow Board provides a clear outline (or “home”) for each tool. By using contrasting colors or cutouts for each item, you’ll instantly notice if something’s out of place. This strategy helps you stay on top of your daily workflow, whether you’re in the kitchen, workshop, or anywhere else. A more efficient setup makes everyday tasks easier—and it’s surprisingly satisfying to see everything in its proper spot.
Thanks for checking out my project, and happy printing! If you try this out, I’d love to see your own prints or hear how you’ve adapted the design. Let’s keep sharing ideas and inspiration for a more organized, efficient lifestyle.
