Garden Hose Washer/Gasket

These models are for garden hose washers or gaskets. I've included 4 models. One is a line card with 12 breakaway or cutaway washers with retention tabs. The second is identical to the first however without the retention tabs. The third is a single washer with retention tabs. The last is a single washer without retention tabs.

These are to be printed in TPU; a hard filament won't allow the gasket to form a seal. I recommend 0.2mm layer height and 3 Top and 3 Bottom layers with Concentric Surface Pattern on a smooth plate such as the Engineering Plate. A Concentric Surface Pattern and a smooth plate reduces sneak paths for water to leak providing a better seal. I also recommend 20% infill. More surface layers and/or a higher infill percentage will make the washer stiffer. Conversely, reducing either or both will make the washer more soft or squishy. Adjust as needed for your application.

I made these 3.1mm (1/8 inch) thick. If you need a thicker or thinner washer you can adjust the z-axis scaling in your Slicer.

Note: The new TPU for AMS is much stiffer than the original TPU and is not recommended for this Hose Washer!
