Description
The pestle, also known as the iron pestle, was used by Wang Gui (Northern Song Dynasty), a fierce general of the Song Dynasty. The "History of Song" records that he held an iron pestle in his left hand and an iron whip in his right. In the battle against Western Xia, he once used a single strike of his pestle to kill an enemy general, making him one of the few military generals in official historical records explicitly noted for using a "pestle" as a weapon.
