Description

The Balancing Stickman

A simple yet fascinating balancing toy that demonstrates the principles of center of mass and stable equilibrium.

Place the stickman on the included stand and watch it balance on a single point. The weighted arms lower the stickman's center of mass below the pivot point, creating a stable equilibrium that allows it to return to its balanced position when disturbed.

Perfect as a desk toy, conversation starter, educational demonstration, or quick and easy 3D print.

Printing Instructions

Balancing Stickman

For best results and proper balancing performance, print the Balancing Stickman with:

  • 90% Gyroid infill
  • Tree Supports (Auto) enabled
  • Standard PLA settings work well

The higher infill ensures the weight distribution remains consistent and helps the stickman balance as intended.

Support Stands

You can choose either support stand included in the project, depending on your preferred display style, or print both and decide which one works best for your setup.

Mounting the Support

For maximum stability, attach a piece of double-sided tape to the bottom of the support stand before placing it on a desk, shelf, monitor, or other surface.
