Stele - Modular E27 Table Lamp

Light up your home with Stele, a monolithic table lamp built around a single architectural gesture: a deep matte black pillar that opens at the top into a soft, glowing block of warm white light. The shader at the top is interchangeable, and four profiles ship with the file (Small, Medium, Large, and Wavy), with more on the way. Inside lives a standard E27 socket, ready for the bulb of your choice.

Design & Concept

I designed Stele as the quietest possible silhouette: a solid base and a luminous block, with a clean horizon between them. The dark Shell carries the structure and the cable, the light Shader carries the glow. Splitting the lamp into a fixed body and a modular top means a single object can read four different ways depending on which Shader is in place. The Small profile sits low and discreet, the Medium and Large stretch the proportions upward, and the Wavy shader breaks the silhouette with a faceted, almost sculptural top. Future shaders snap into the same Top piece, so the system grows without ever asking you to reprint the body.

Hardware Required:

• E27 Socket: A standard E27 lamp socket with its locking ring, threaded onto the power cable.
• Power Cable: A power cable with switch and plug suited to your country, sized to feed through the Base.
• E27 Bulb: Any E27 bulb of your choice. Warm white LED is recommended for the cleanest visual result with the Jade White shader.

Printing Recommendations:

Shell:

• Material: PLA-CF Black recommended for a deep matte finish that absorbs surface light and frames the glowing top.

Shader (Small / Medium / Large / Wavy):

• Material: PLA Basic Jade White recommended for a warm, even diffusion of the bulb behind it.

Base, Top, Cap:

• Material: Any PLA of your choice. These parts sit hidden inside the Shell, so leftover filament works without affecting the visible aesthetic.

Assembly

1. Slide the Base into the Shell from underneath.
2. Run the power cable through the hole in the bottom of the Base.
3. Mount the E27 socket onto the end of the cable.
4. Secure the socket inside the Base using the locking ring.
5. Insert the Top piece into the Shell above the Base.
6. Close the bottom of the Base with the Cap.
7. Place your chosen Shader on top.
