Description

Spice Dial

A compact spice jar with a rotating dosing cap for clean storage and controlled dispensing.

Instead of opening the whole container every time, Spice Dial uses a screw lid plus a top dial cap that can be rotated to select different openings.
That makes it easier to sprinkle, pour, and dose spices depending on what you need.

Why this design?

I wanted a spice container that is:

- easy to open and close
- secure for storage
- practical while cooking
- more precise than a simple open jar
- printable without unnecessary complexity

The result is a spice jar with two functions in one system:
1. Screw closure for safe storage
2. Rotating top cap for controlled spice dispensing

Features
- Compact spice container
- Threaded main lid
- Rotating top cap / dial
- Different dispensing openings
- Clean and practical kitchen design
- Great for dried herbs, chili flakes, seasoning mixes, and similar spices

How it works
1. Fill the jar with your spice mix
2. Close it with the threaded lid
3. Rotate the top cap to select the desired opening
4. Sprinkle or pour as needed
5. Rotate back / close after use

Printing notes
- Print orientation should be chosen for clean threads and a smooth rotating cap
- A well-tuned printer will improve thread fit and dial movement
- Depending on your filament and tolerances, light post-processing may help
- PLA, PETG, or similar materials should work well for normal kitchen use

Assembly
The model is designed as a simple functional print.
Depending on the version, the cap and body may be printed separately and assembled after printing.

Design goal
This model was designed to combine *storage + dosing + usability* in one compact object.

If you print it, I’d really appreciate:
- a like
- a photo of your print
- and a *Boost* if you think the design deserves it
