Description
This 3D-printed key is designed to fit outdoor faucets from FM Mattsson, commonly used on houses and garden installations. Many FM Mattsson taps use a removable square spindle for opening and closing the water flow, and this key is made to match that interface.
The socket is dimensioned with:
7 mm internal square hole (fits the valve spindle)
13.8 mm outer diameter on the cylindrical section
The handle is shaped to provide good leverage, making the tap easy to operate even if the original metal key has been lost, broken, or misplaced. The design sits securely on the spindle and allows smooth turning without slipping.
Printing Recommendations
Material:
PETG or ASA for long-term outdoor durability
PLA also works well if the key is not exposed to direct sun or harsh outdoor conditions
Infill: 40–60% for strength
No supports needed
Layer height: 0.2 mm is suitable, but thicker layers also work well for a strong functional print
This tool is especially useful for seasonal water shut-off, garden hose use, or simply replacing the small factory key with a more ergonomic printed version.
