Description

The Ribbed Action Lamp – Modern Minimalist Desktop Shade

Elevate your space with the Ribbed Action Lamp, a sleek, modern lampshade designed specifically for 3D printing. Featuring a distinctive vertical pleated texture, this lamp creates a beautiful interplay of light and shadow, perfect for desks, bedside tables, or as a statement piece in your living room.

The design is optimized for "Vase Mode" (Spiral Vase) or standard printing to achieve a stunning translucent effect when paired with a smart bulb or an LED puck.

🌟 Features

  • Dynamic Texture: The sharp vertical ridges give the lamp a high-end, architectural look.
  • Optimized for Light: Designed to diffuse light evenly while highlighting the geometric silhouette of the shade.
  • Easy to Print: No supports required. The geometry is self-supporting and stable.
  • Versatile Fit: Scalable to fit most standard E26/E27 or small LED lamp bases.

🛠️ Print Settings

For the best results (as seen in the preview image), I recommend the following settings:

  • Printer: Bambu Lab Series (P1P/P1S/X1C) or A1/A1 mini.
  • Material: PETG or ASA is recommended for heat resistance (especially if using an incandescent bulb). Translucent PLA also works great for LED/Cool-running bulbs.
  • Mode: Spiral Vase Mode (Outer wall only) for a clean, seamless look.
  • Wall Loop: If not using Vase Mode, set to 1 or 2 walls for maximum translucency.
  • Infill: 0% (if not using Vase Mode).
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm - 0.24mm (thinner layers result in a smoother gradient).
  • Support: None needed.

💡 Assembly Tips

  1. Print the shade using a translucent or light-colored filament (White, Marble, or "Frost" colors work best).
  2. Use a standard lamp cord kit or a battery-powered LED puck.
  3. Safety Note: If using a traditional bulb, ensure it is a low-heat LED bulb to prevent the plastic from softening or warping.

Show off your prints! If you print this, please upload a "Make" and share a photo of it lit up in your room. I’d love to see the different color combinations you come up with!
