Bottle Lock with Key

Designed this Bottle Safety Lock to prevent access to wine / liquor / pop bottles without needing to buy a bunch of padlocks and keys. This version is fully printable and comes with a key to unlock the latch, preventing access for young kids. 

This is not a commercial lock, but works great for keeping out young kids / roommates / co-workers.

This design works on: 

1. Corked wine bottles (doesnt work on screw-top wine bottles)
2. Standard pop bottles (confirmed on 710 mL and 2 L bottles)
3. Other bottles with ~25mm / 1" neck diameter AND a >28 mm ring.

Not compatible with glass beer bottles, but there is a Beer Bottle Lock model here.

Two print profiles are provided:

• Profile 1: Fully Printable Bottle Safety Lock (two plates, with two-part or ‘print-in-place’ versions). 
• Profile 2: Bottle Safety Lock with M3 screw (M3 x 20mm, see Maker Supply link below).

PLEASE test that the key works with your print before locking your beverage!!!

KEY INSTRUCTIONS:

• Pinch the lock at the hinge and latch (see picture).
• Push key straight into the keyhole, then tilt the key away from lock (see picture).
• Latch will be released and lock can be pulled open.
