Thinkware U1000 Mount

This is a direct replacement for the Thinkware U1000 mount. My mount that came with the camera broke when I was trying to remove it from my windshield just before a glass replacement. Why spend $15 on Amazon with next-day shipping when you can justify your printers existence by painfully recreating the mount in Fusion360 over two weeks and several test prints. Simply apply 3M VHB tape to the topside of the mount and place it on your windshield. When mounting the camera to the mount, be advised that it will be a TIGHT fit. It is recommended to place the mount on the camera with the VHB tape (unexposed), use live view from Thinkware app, and find a good location for the camera. One where you can still access all buttons and cables easily. 

Recommended to print in ASA or HIGHER

Florida temperatures during peak summer, in a car, can reach up to 70C (157F) on the dashboard. PETG will warp during the summer. It is recommend to print this mount in ASA (100C/212F Heat Resistance) at minimum, the model picture above is in ASA. Print in PA6-GF (182C/360F Heat Resistance) and this mount will survive the summer. Color of the material used will also affect how much heat it soaks up or deflects. Black=More heat absorbed but more UV Resistance, White= Less heat absorbed but less UV resistance.
