The plates serve to lock the spool and prevent its accidental unraveling, which you will appreciate especially with refill variants where the spool is frequently used
However, I recommend always using them, also due to AMS handling
Four versions are available:
smooth (green), with a cutout for easy removal (red), and for both, additionally, a longer fit (Blue and Yellow) variant covering the lock
- Each plate weighs approx 0.75g
- Compatible with AMS
For maximum strength and the possibility of drying the filament, I recommend printing with PETG, but PLA can also be used
