Table Lamp – Three-Part Design with LED Lighting

Description

This modern 3D-printed table lamp combines an elegant shape with flexible LED lighting.
It consists of three main parts:

  1. Lamp Body – slender and flaring out at the base for stability, printed in a translucent material for smooth light diffusion.
    • Designed to house a Bambu Lab LED-Light Kit MH001, which illuminates the body from within to create a soft, even glow.
  2. Lamp Head – serves as a secondary light source.
    • Can be equipped with one or two Bambu Lab LED Lights with Magnetic Control Switch (e.g., KC002 or KC012).
    • The head lighting adds a focused accent light.
  3. Lid – cleanly closes off the lamp head and prevents glare.

Additionally, there is an integrated holder for convenient use of the LED module’s magnetic features, allowing the magnetic switches to be easily attached or removed.

Printing Instructions

Lamp Body

  • Material: Transparent or translucent PLA/PETG for maximum light transmission.
  • Orientation: Print upright (base on the build plate).
  • Layer Height: 0.16–0.20 mm for smooth light surfaces.
  • Wall Thickness: 0.8–1.2 mm for stability while still allowing good light diffusion.
  • Infill: 0–5 % (mainly for minimal inner support; hollow interior for optimal lighting effect).
  • Cooling: High (PLA 80–100 %, PETG 40–70 %).
  • Brim: 5–8 mm recommended (tall, narrow print).

Lamp Head

  • Material: Opaque PLA/PETG for controlled light direction.
  • Infill: 15–25 % for stability.
  • Layer Height: 0.20–0.28 mm.
  • Supports: Only if required depending on design shape.

Lid

  • Material: Same as the head for a consistent look.
  • Infill: 15–20 %.
  • Layer Height: 0.20 mm.
  • Supports: Usually not needed.

Assembly

  1. Insert MH001 – Place the LED kit into the lower section of the body, routing the cable through the designated opening.
  2. Mount the magnetic LEDs – Place the KC002 or KC012 LED units into the lamp head and secure them using the integrated magnetic holder.
  3. Attach the lid – Close off the lamp head to hide the LED and create a soft diffused light.
  4. Cable management – Neatly guide cables through the provided channels.

Usage

  • Ambient light: Gentle illumination through the translucent body.
  • Accent light: Focused beam from the head area.
  • Easy control: Magnetic switch allows effortless on/off operation.
