Description
Tortoiseshell Divination
This is an ancient Chinese cultural divination practice. The tortoiseshell is composed of dark brown stripes, while the base is a lighter brown. There are also three round copper coins with square holes. In traditional Han Chinese society, people frequently sought divine guidance, and using tortoiseshell for divination to determine fortune and actions was prevalent since the Shang Dynasty. The practice involves placing the coins into the tortoiseshell and using their arrangement to conduct divination and fortune-telling.
Although my coloring isn't perfect (it now resembles croissants and bread...), you can choose brown or terracotta for a more refined aesthetic. The tortoiseshell can open and features a designed interlocking mechanism. To emphasize the natural and organic feel, the grooves and pits are designed to mimic the patterns of authentic tortoiseshell used in divination.

The practice involves inserting the copper coins into the tortoiseshell and interpreting the arrangement of the fallen coins to predict outcomes.
Although my coloring isn’t perfect (it kind of looks like a croissant or bread now... 😅), you can use brown or terracotta colors for a more refined look. The tortoiseshell can be opened and features a locking mechanism for assembly. To highlight its natural and organic feel, the grooves and pits are designed to resemble the authentic patterns found in traditional tortoiseshell divination.
