Description

Not long after installation the PTFE tubes on my AMS Lite sagged, creating a pinch point with enough friction to interfere with filament loading. I made this little bracket to hold them nice and straight, and the problem went away. If you run into this problem, perhaps it will help. One bracket will hold two tubes on the same side, and the same model will work on either side - you just have to invert it.

 

A few users have reported that the retainer is a little loose. This is by design, as I have learned that different filaments and print settings can affect the final dimensions of a print. These are intended to be held in place by gravity, so a little bit of looseness will help assure success and does not affect the proper function of the retainers. If you must have a tight fit, you can resize the model slightly in Bambu Studio.

 

If these do not solve your problems, you  likely need to look to other factors such as filament brand (looking at you, Creality), finish, and other factors that can affect filament transport.
