This profile printed (from Handy) absolutely perfectly, even though I selected the “wrong” filament. I accidentally used a very stiff and brittle translucent PLA instead of what I meant to use, but it still came out great. I thought that the supports would be difficult to remove given the harder-than-normal PLA, but it came off easily enough.

The profile worked perfectly on my H2D with PLA. No problems at all.

The print came out well, but it didn’t quite work as expected in my H2C even when using the “H2C” profile. I started the print via Handy, but it printed more like an H2D would instead of an H2C. Instead of swapping Vortek hotends, it was only using one Vortek hotend and purging between colors. It still came out fine, but it took longer and produced a lot more waste than it should have. I printed a second one using Studio and didn’t change anything in the profile and the second one printed the way that the H2C should work. I’m going to need to print some more because my kids lost their minds when they saw them and they all want one of their own.

Perfect profile. I printed four sets directly from Handy and all came out perfectly.

The profile is good, but the parts specific to the 3D printed mainspring are reversed. The 3D printed mainspring and the frame part that has the ratcheting tab need to be mirrored in the x-axis before the mechanism will work properly. I went through a few prints before I realized what was wrong and fixed it. Once this was corrected, the model worked well. I’ve tried a few different tourbillon models over the past week and this is the only one that begins ticking on its own as the spring is wound. It’s quite satisfying.

Perfect print, in orange PETG so it stands out on my messy bench.
