Bio
Stor3dOnStage is a small, family-owned startup that exists to bring Engineering to the Arts! We develop props and set pieces for use in stage plays and cosplays. Our goal is to provide quality electrical and mechanical engineering solutions to bring the stage and conventions to life. We primarily operate in the 3D printing and 3-axis CNC machining space for our builds and use readily available microcontrollers and software in the hopes that you can follow along at home.

I made a slight modification to the Triwizard Cup and printed the words still in translucent blue, but the rest of the cup in Amolen’s Firefly Blue Glow filament. I filled it with 3 strands of UV fairy lights. The first picture is with the lights on in a dark room (it’s more purple than the picture shows), but the SECOND picture is with the lights off after just 15 minutes of UV charging. I cannot express how COOL this filament is for the Triwizard Cup effect. Hope some other Harry Potter fans have fun with this!

This model is a fun Desktop decoration depicting Thomas Young's Double-Slit experiment in 1801, proving that light behaves as a wave. It depicts the constructive and destructive interference typical of waves modeled by concentric circles that contact the back wall. The waveform on the back wall is the graphical model of the light pattern that would be observed. The model can be stood up to make a science-lovers perfect Christmas Tree!
