I’m a new 3D designer at Dot Matter Lab—fresh to the craft and endlessly curious. My goal is simple: turn every idea in my head into something printable and real, one model at a time.

V2 Update for the Requiem Magnum is now live 🔧 The trigger and hammer are finally movable now 😄 I redesigned the rear Main Body structure and created brand new Trigger and Hammer mechanisms to make the revolver feel much more mechanical and interactive when handled. The cylinder rotates, the trigger clicks, and the hammer can now be cocked manually. At this point the model is honestly turning into a weird little 3-in-1 fidget toy… and I keep playing with it myself 😂

Since February 27th I’ve been playing Resident Evil 9 almost every night for a whole week. After finishing the game, I became obsessed with the Requiem Magnum and really wanted to build one myself. From modeling to printing, this project took about four days to complete. I’m quite happy with the result, especially the rotating cylinder, which makes the prop feel much more mechanical. A more advanced version with a working trigger and safety mechanism is already in development.

I’ve just released the AMS color versions of the Chiikawa Australia series! Hachiware as a Koala 🐨 Usagi as a Kangaroo 🦘 Chiikawa as a Platypus 🦆 It was really fun reimagining the three main characters as Australian animals while keeping their original charm. Hope you like this little Aussie trio!

I just released a set of 10 cute mini animals, and I hope you like them! This series actually started because my son loves the Sally duck air freshener in my car. He always wanted to play with it, so I designed and printed a small Sally model for him. He loved it so much that I ended up creating nine more little animal friends. Each one is small, simple, and fun to print. Let me know which one is your favorite — I’d love to hear it! 🐙🐸🐝

My wife recently asked if we could find a toy similar to one I played with as a child for our one-year-old son. After searching locally in Australia, we realized it was no longer available here. The only option was international shipping, and paying a high price for a single toy didn’t feel quite right. So instead of buying it, I decided to recreate it from memory using my 3D printer. I redesigned the proportions, refined the geometry, and rebuilt it with safety and durability in mind.

My son has been obsessed with teddy bears lately, and somehow that brought me straight back to my childhood. When I was young, I loved watching Mr Bean, and his little teddy was always quietly there in the background. That memory stuck with me, so I turned it into this small 3D project. I kept the shapes smooth and simple, with a calm sitting pose. It’s not meant to do much, just sit there and make the space feel a bit warmer.

Lately, I’ve been turning everyday landmarks from the city I live in into 3D printable objects. From Australia Post mailboxes and public bins to iconic signs around Sydney, I enjoy transforming familiar urban details into small, usable designs. If you like this direction, feel free to leave a comment and tell me which city objects or landmarks you’d love to see next. Your ideas often inspire my next design.

Every weekend my little boy sprints after pigeons at our local park, laughing “coo-coo!” I wanted to bring that moment home, so I modeled a super simple, super silly pigeon: big eyes, tiny beak, round belly. It prints clean at 0.16 mm with four walls and basic supports. We named it Googo because that’s my kid’s “coo-coo.” Hope this little birb makes your desk happier.

Grim Whelp - a small seated skeletal dragon modelled in Blender (including retopology and vertex painting). It is 13cm tall, designed for an easy two-colour FDM print - a black body paired with ivory-white bones, with a small painted eye highlight to keep the eyes from looking flat on the plastic.

This is a Halloween Toy that I make for my son. He loves Pikachu, so I gave it a pumpkin helmet and a super cute chubby pose. It’s about 12 cm tall—perfect for a little desk buddy—and I’ll be letting him paint his own version at home. I’m also uploading a clean white model for anyone who wants to DIY their colors. If you print or paint it, I’d love to see your versions—drop photos in the comments. Happy Halloween!

This is my first attempt at designing a 3D model. It may still be a bit rough, and I will continue to refine and improve it based on feedback. Thank you for your support!
