He's a retired logistics officer who now wanders the dangerous borderlands, firmly believing that no ancient curse or dragon raid is so dire that it can't be improved by a fresh wheel of cheese and a sturdy spare wagon axle. In my short stories, Barnaby serves as the party's unlikely lifeline, often appearing at the edge of a dark forest just as their supplies run low and their spirits even lower.
