Salty Engineering Marker Stand!
This is a three part assembly which requires no supports during printing or glue for assembly. Simply print the three pieces and snap the Socket into the Base. The ASA adapter uses a 015 O-ring on the front, and a 016 O-ring Slid over the threads and up to the flat shoulder. The 016 O-Ring provides some squish/resistance to keep the marker stationary. The Socket feature uses an 18-Point Straight Spline interface which gives the maximum number of resting positions for the marker. It took a few iterations to get something worthy but here we are!
Salty Printing Settings:
-Base and Socket can be minimum 2 wall loops with minimum 15% endfill.
-The ASA Adapter must be minimum 6 wall loops with minimum 15% endfill, or 2 wall loops with 50% endfill. The ASA Adapter sees a lot of bending moment due to the marker so care should be taken when printing this.
-Salty Engineering uses PET-C for these stands, so if you're printing with another figment, we strongly suggest testing out your printing settings and filament prior to using the stand.
ENJOY!
