Dishwasher safe?

Hello, definitely not with PLA. I would test PCTG (not PETG) or ASA. Unfortunately I can't give a more precise statement, sorry. Exact details of the maximum deformation temperature can be found in the manufacturer data sheet. If you stick to the deformation temperatures and set your dishwasher that way, nothing should happen. No guarantee! I also recommend food-safe filament for food (like PCTG or ASA --> also found in the manufacturer data sheet). I hope i could help you. Greetings

You can't say that across the board. Here are some steps that make it food safe: - Use food grade filament (like PCTG), clean it after use or throw it away if you are unsure - There are food-safe coatings that you can apply and seal the layers - Use cling film for the bowls before filling. You can remove these after use. This means the food has no contact with the print and is reusable. With a little thought you can definitely find other options.

You right and it looks super! I do wish people would consider putting that PSA about food safety in the description or title. A lot of people who do casual printing don't know that. obvi not your responsibility but I think folk appreciate it.

@Scratchplate3D can you put that blurb in your description? i’d be happy to remove my comment then.

Nice design! I saw a video on youtube a while ago stating that 3d printed stuff might not be food safe. Not because PLA is toxic, but it has to do with the layer lines being a potential source for bacteria to multiply in, because food could get stuck between the layerlines. So I think this would be a one time use for me, if I would print it. Fun design nonetheless :)

Beyond that, PLA itself is whats been designated food safe, not the stuff you are printing in your printer. There are flow additives and other ingredients present in the printer filament. Its not pure PLA. Its not food safe unless its explicitly called out on the datasheet.
