Assembly guide

Below is the guide to assemble the spring gun v4

Differences from previous versions

Unlike the v3 version, in the v4 version the magazine is inserted from underneath and locked with a special lock, in the v3 version it was very inconvenient as the magazine was removed from the side, moreover, loading bullets is now also greatly simplified.

Conclusion

Really fun print. A lot of supports that have to be removed, but it's absolutely worth it. The bullets tumble a lot in the air. I imagine performance would be a lot better with spherical bullets. It would compromise the look a bit, but maybe it's possible with the same gun and an alternative magazine?

Very nice print, i havent printed the bullets just yet and fired the gun but the mechanism seems to work, would be nice if the gun slider would stay put once "loaded" which could be facilitated with a mechanism that binds to the sping and the gun slider. Cool print made it in grey/red

it does fire, but its hard to get it to fire perfectly, the pointer could be a tad longer as the actual spring "move" is about 1cm

If I may offer a suggestion for version 5, perhaps you could begin by fully enclosing the design, giving it a true "pistol" form. For instance, you could close off the magazine on the sides, and enclose the entire structure.

this one cant rack the slide either to lock the spring in ready mode you have to kind grab the spring sideways... i think

nice design, but I think you need to add one more cartridge unloader to the design...

the spring on the gun wears out quickly making firing the 6 round mag unreliable. overall a fun print though

Spring Gun V4 Kit

The prints came out well and I expected some clean-up because of the supports. The clearances for the large components are good, but I did have a problem getting the slide into position. Once it was in place everything went ok I think you might want to tweak the tolerance on the magazine springs because they're so strong. They're pushing up so hard that they slow down and tumble the bullets when they're fired. There is a friction line as if I've run a file down them.
