Description

I've gone on an RC craze recently, so after making paddle tires for my Typhon Grom here I immediately started to make a version for one of my big boy 1/10 scale Arrma's. They have a 14mm hex (14.2 to be exact) for connection. The outside diameter of the wheel is 130mm, the same as stock gorgon/granite wheels. This means you can just use two of these on a 4x4 car without too much strain on the drivetrain.
I like to call 'em the Slicers due to all the sharp edges that them their style (and grip).
As of 1/12/25 I have yet to test them in snow and sand, but they seem to work great in loose dirt.

Edit 1/30/25, I got the chance to test them on sand and my gosh these things are awesome. (I have a .gif in the camera roll from the test) Just make sure you have a sealed brushed motor or a  brushless before going on sand because it will kill the stock motor. Sand and open motors don't go well.

Edit 2/12/25, Used them on 3 inch deep snow and I can confirm that they work well.

IT'S SLICIN' TIME!

Print Settings + Instal

  • paddle_tire_inner can be printed with your filament of choice, have 3-4 walls at least with 25% infil
  • paddle_tire_outter should be printed out of TPU with at 5 walls for durability, infil can be whatever, less gives you more squish.
  • The tolerances between the tires and inner hub are 0.00mm. (except for the nubs that prevent rotation, those have 0.1mm tolerances) This (in theory) lets you stretch the TPU onto the hub. YOU STILL NEED TO USE GLUE. (very important) Superglue works, epoxy is better though.

Boost Me (for free)

I'd love it if you consider leaving a boost, it helps me make more of my poorly thought out ideas come to life!

If you want to go a step further than that, I'd be beyond thrilled if you left me a tip on my Thingiverse page :D
