is the transmission distance a property of the specific filament or is it a setting for the print? I typically use all Bambu filaments but would buy other ones if it’s needed for the print to work well

This is a filament-specific priority

Thank you! Where do you find this information? I’m looking at the TDS for the Bambu Basic PLA and can’t see where it shows transmission distance. Thank you!

The TD isn't written anywhere. You can find some information online. However, it can be calculated, but you must have already purchased the filament. A good explanation here from the creator of the Hueforge program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPjsLEmgbog&;ab_channel=HueForging Otherwise, the program itself contains a database of DTs from several different brands. But again, the DT can change from one batch to another. A slight variation in the DT between the information provided for the filaments I used for printing and the filaments you have shouldn't prevent a print that closely resembles my image.
