Description

Flicket is a super-satisfying fidget/skill toy. Like with a yo-yo, you can do tricks and develop multiple play styles. (See video here)

All sizes print in three pieces and need to be assembled by simply connecting the thumb-screws together through the opening in the slide link.

Materials and Printing: Infill should be somewhat high to get sufficient weight. 35% seemed to be the sweet spot for PETG, but likely a little higher would be better for PLA.

PLA feels and sounds a bit “stony”, and PETG is quieter and feels a bit more premium to me.

Make sure your build plate is freshly cleaned to limit adhesion issues. The first layer contact surface area is low.

Sizing: Start with Medium and go up or down from there. Or with your hand in a neutral position with your thumb comfortably extended you can measure a straight line from the tip of your thumb to the first knuckle at the base of your index finger and choose the size closest to but smaller than that measurement.

XL 79.2mm

L 72.6mm

M 66mm

S 59.4mm

XS 52.8mm

Scaling is not recommended because it can cause issues with clearances.

Cool design! Quite enjoyable to play with, even though I printed a bigger than needed version. Gonna try a smaller one later when I get more colorful filaments. Did all parts with PLA and 40% infill, toy feels very sturdy and has nice weight. A couple of suggestions: - If a person downloads your STL files, they get a ZIP with noninformative naming and wrong numerations (pic related). I would fix numeration and group stuff to something like "Largest - 79.2 mm - Part 1", "Medium - 52.7 mm - Part 1" and so on. - After that, I would put in the description a suggestion for people to print a middle-sized version, because the largest one is exactly that - probably too large for most of the people. But maybe just skill issue on my end that I decided to print the biggest one. :D Edit: Also, to get cool infill texture on small pieces, how it is shown in description, you need to skip first several layers in slicer for them, if i understood correctly? (I did it that way, at least)

Hey thanks for your feedback! I agree with those suggestions and I'll make some updates. EDIT: oh and yes, you need to remove bottom layers in the slicer to get the infill pattern to come through just as you said. I have that all set up in 3mf file, but your post helped me to see that I need to think about user working from other file types as well!
