Description

Basket to dry desiccant / silica gel in the Sunlu S4 filament dryer.

These boxes fit exactly onto the space over the bearings of the Sunlu S4 filament dryer.

Simply dry your desiccant / silica gel at 70°C for a few hours, stir from time to time.

I recommend two boxes because air flow is better the less each box is filled.

It's mandatory to use a high temperature filament like ABS, ASA, PC or similar!

PETG and PLA will not work. I tested PETG and the bottom deformed while using.

The holes/slots are 0.8mm wide.

No support needed. I used 3 walls and 4 top/bottom layers to get it stronger.

Yeah, so don't print this in PETG. If you are seeing this and thinking about it, don't do it. The box warped after sitting in the S4 dryer for about 12 hours and had a big dent form at the bottom so it became unusable. (oops.) Printed in Polymaker ASA again and it's working perfect.

Bed Adhesion Issue:Unfortunately it warped a a lot and i dont know what i did wrong. But the Design is great and and can still use it =)

These were just what I was looking for. I have 8 AMS's and 3 boxes in each with silica gels so there's a fair amount that need to be re-charged every-so-often. These two containers are more than enough for all of them to be done at once. I did find I needed double the time though. I might have been over cautious but as I had a lot I wanted to be sure they were done properly so cooked them for 16 hours stirring occasionally. Thank you!

The baskets are perfect. They work well in the dryer however, if you wanna dry them real fast, you might want to use a microwave because if you take them over 70 C it’ll start to deform but otherwise at 50 C and below works perfect.
