I really liked MFBS's toolhead in my V-Core so I thought this excellent design would fare well on V-Minion as well. We can now enjoy excellent mix of rigidity and weight on cartesian as well.
The STEP file contains multiple files and two configurations:
a) V6 format hotend. This “F1” version contains shortened faceplate bringing the Orbiter 2 extruder 5 mm lower but in exchange you will be locked to E3D V6 and equivalent hotends.
b) “F2” version is the original print head with only the hole positions changed so that it can be used together with MFBS hotend adapters. Use both Top plate and Face plate. Use at own risk, and check 3D data before printing. Even though I did not find any mistakes in CAD this is not tested IRL and something could have been overlooked.
There are two ducts - tri-horn and dual horn. I had bad experience with the tri-horn because it created “sails” from long bridges. This toolhead uses two 5015 fans, because. If you know about good geometry and CAD data that fit MFBS for one fan configuration - let me know! But sadly I do not have time to rework EVA3 design to fit this duct.
STL files contain only parts for printing.
I will post individual part STLs when I get to it :)
