This tray follows the Gridfinity base system and the tray section stands 40mm tall. The bin bottom is heavily filleted from one vertical wall to the opposite so that the inside allows for an easy “scooping” action. No contents will get stuck in the corner of the tray and make it hard to get it out.
This piece has an open end because I needed scoop trays longer than my print bed would allow. I also made a 3-unit long piece to go with this one..
The walls are 4.25mm thick and have a bit of extra infill to make them stronger. The edges are filleted for aesthetics and to limit edge-cuts when reaching into the drawer in the dark on late night snack excursions.
I use this for holding longer straws, but you can use it for anything you want.
The bottom is not magnetic.
