I used to keep my remote controls on my nightstand, but they always seemed out of place without a dedicated spot. I wanted something functional that also added a touch of color and personality to my nightstand—not just a plain design, but one with subtle accents. So, I designed this Remote Control Holder.
Instead of focusing on minimizing material use, I prioritized giving the holder enough weight to feel sturdy and prevent it from tipping over. The base is slightly wider than the top for added stability, ensuring everything stays secure and functional.
The holder is designed for efficient 3D printing. It requires no supports or AMS and features separate pieces for each section. This makes assembly simple and allows for easy customization with different colors for accents, creating a unique look without long multi-color print times.
The bottom piece is best secured with some glue, while the slots are designed to fit snugly without additional fastening. This makes it easy to replace or swap out sections later if needed.
To ensure the best surface quality, the container is printed top-down. This orientation hides any layer stepping on the bottom, where it won’t be seen, and provides a smooth finish on the visible surfaces. A small slot on the back conceals the seam, adding a thoughtful touch to keep the overall design clean and polished.

I´ve added a 3 Slot Version as @3DOptimus asked for it. Please note that only the slim version can be printed on the A1 Mini. The normal version will not fit the Build-Plate.
Checkout my parametric trays. They are fully customizable to your needs.
I hope you enjoy it!
