Description

Description

This decoration can balance without any stand and defies gravity. You can give it as a gift or keep it for your own joy.

You can truly understand the principles of gravity by setting the correct counterweight of spinner.

Printing:

All parts were printed from PLA but due to various printing settings, some parts are placed to separate plates.

  1. Main spinner body is printed with 50% infill to achieve 12 grams of weight.
  2. Top and bottom caps of the spinner are printed in 0,12mm layer height.
  3. Curved body is standard 0,2mm layer height with 7 perimeters and with 5mm brim.

Bill of materials (BOM):

  • Lace or some kind of string - from 0,8mm to 2mm diameter and approx. 30 cm lenght.
  • metal M8 nuts (max. 4 pcs) or M8 washers to 30 grams of weight, or combination.

Assembly:

  1. Spinner is assembled with metal part inserts and must have certain weight for successful balancing. Inserted metal parts are combination of M8 nuts or M8 washers with diferent height and weight. You can make any combination but the final weight must be 30 grams (+/- 1gram) in total.
  2. Take a lace and tie a knot at one end. The other side passes through the main spinner.
  3. Close spinner by the small cap from bottom and the bigger cap on the top side.
  4. Assembled spinner hang up onto curved body by lace, measure approx. 50mm from the bottom surface and tie a knot on the top side.
  5. If everything is balanced correctly, you win. Otherwise you have to increase or decrease the weight of the metal inserts.
  6. Enjoy
