Description

Saw many different light switch plates that were building brick like (unnamed brand) out there. However, I seemed to always have issues with printing and certain blocks (not to be named) would not stick, you couldn't get it on or off properly. I did mine in PLA, but you can do PETG for a little more durability with lasting. Been using them over a year, but the kids don't take Lbricks on and off constantly, so far so good on durability.

Added the double decorative switch plate for those that need it.

.16 layer height

ironing on - I use 15% at 30mm

Supports - I used Default Snug supports.

UPDATE: 5/29/24 - Added the Triple and Jumbo plates that were requested. Please test them out and let me know if there is an issue with them I can adjust. I don't have any Triple switches in my house so measurements were best I could do off a standard plate.

do I pull the supports off the bottom of this? I’m confused, which is normal for me

Printed this in PETG+ with nice results. ABS was a bit too sensitive to warping. One note: What originally looked to be delamination was just the support material coming loose. Don't abort the first print early like I did. Very cool piece, and works well.

Would like a slightly larger size. Frequently there are small imperfections behind switch plates.

Larger size for where the switch is? Which plate type?

Wider and taller, like the "jumbo" plate size.

Done, I don't have a triple switch, please test it out and let me know if it needs an adjustment.

Hi, would you please make a double switch plate that has a small switch on the left and a big switch on the right? I see that you have a double switch plate but it has 2 big switches. Thank you in advance.

give me a couple days I can put something together. I don't have a switch like that so might need to do some testing to fit it.

I'll see what I can do. I don't have any of that configuration at home.. so it may take a little work here and there to get it right.

as an electrician I would not use any filament except fr-pc (flame retardant polycarbonate) to make a switch plate as there is a risk of house fires if the switch arcs inside the box (older switches can do this) I would recommend replacing the switch at a minimum and using the screw terminals not the push in stab connections at the rear of the switch at minimum

if you have arcs inside the switch the plate is the least of your worries. there shouldn't be any arcs. I've replaced all my switches and sockets in the house as old ones are not up to par with standards today.

I've had support issues, but imperfections won't appear in the back of the plate. so 5 stars
