Description

Update 1/20/2025: I went ahead and designed up covers for the extruders as well since the original covers made the remaining openings look a bit out of place. The added file for the extruder cover is more of a PITA to print cleanly, but I had a decent enough look with organic supports in Orca Slicer.

I printed the Python AMS 1.03 and decided over the holiday break to try and design some “beauty covers” to clean up the front a little. These pieces are a little weird to print and require supports, as you want the piece to be printed perpendicular to the small tabs that clip the covers into place.

I know the Python AMS v1.04 was recently released, and I have not decided whether to print all the main pieces again. As such, I cannot confirm whether these covers will be a direct fit for the newest and subsequent versions.

I found it best to install the curved part over the spool gear shafts while pressing the top inner clip into place. Then, you can tip the whole AMS up and bend the bottom tabs to push the covers' bottoms into place.

Note these are designed for a pretty tight fit, and depending on the print quality of your machine for these covers and/or the Python AMS parts, you may need to do a little bit of sanding to make sure there are clearances (especially on the lower sides where the Python AMS parts taper out a little.
