Designed to be used with the Makers Beginner Kit this fun Pinball inspired game of Springball! is a fun project to build, and even more fun to play.

This particular project required more prototypes than ever before in order to get the power just right and trigger working correctly!

Note: The Maker Beginners kit is required for this model.

Assembly:

  1. Remove all supports from the board, making sure that all supports in the trigger area have been taken out. Long nosed pliers are recommended for this
  2. Push the trigger into place, making sure the holes line up for the pin to pass through

  3. Cut a piece of filament and push it through the hole securing the trigger in place

  4. Insert the spring into the trigger hole first and then compress the spring to the bottom half fits into the opposing hole on the board

  5. Push fit the x5 bumpers onto the posts on the main board. When using PLA the tolerances should give a nice tight fit. The tolerances may be looser with other filaments, in which case apply some glue if required

  6. Place the black rubber O rings provided in the Maker Beginners kit onto each of the bumpers
  7. Drop the balls into the board and you're good to go!

Gameplay:

To reset the board, simply tilt so the balls line up in the loading chamber ready to be fired. When playing, hold at roughly 15 degrees.
