Description

Here you can print out a very variable mini spool.
Useful for filament scraps or if you want to swap small amounts of filament with friends.
I designed the mini spool for the AMS Lite.

This model has the following features:
    - three positions can be set with the loose spool ring.
        - 1st position for approx. 50g filament.
        - 2nd position for approx. 100g filament.
        - 3rd position for approx. 200g filament.
    - two starting holes for winding.
        - starting hole at 90° to the spool body.
        - a starting hole running tangentially to the spool body.
    - filament end attachment.
        - five variable holes per spool ring.
        - rotated 45° to the spool ring for easy attachment of the filament end.
        - can be used no matter in which direction the spool was wound.

Preparation:
Remove the supports (9x) in the area of the bayonet catches with a screwdriver (P2).

Assembly:
Insert the loose spool ring with the three pins into the three grooves of the spool and
push it into one of the three positions.

Then turn the spool ring 10° clockwise until it clicks into place.

Note:
Positions two and three are a little more difficult to reach with the spool ring.
With a little patience and skill, however, you can always reach them.

I have reworked the bayonet catches to prevent longer wear.
I have not tested how long the spool ring can click into place.

I have also noticed that filament from other manufacturers produces different dimensions,
which has a slight effect on the ability to plug the spool rings together.
The more often the spools are plugged together, the better the fit.
Nevertheless, I would leave the tolerances of the model unchanged for the time being.

Filament used:
The dimensions and functionality were determined using Bambu Lab PLA Matt Charcoal (11101).
Bambu Lab PLA Basic Jade White (10100) for the Mini Spool S.
Sunlu PLA Gray (18101010A) for the Mini Spool M.

Have fun with the mini spools.
