Description
Fruczka, a childhood memory recreated in 3D technology. Originally, the toy was made from a large button or carved from a piece of wood. The inspiration for my version was Fruczka, which our grandfather Józek carved from wood. The name Fruczka (in Polish) comes from the sound the toy makes during play.
To play, we need a strong thin string, e.g. twine or strong thread.
When playing with the Fruczka, various laws of physics come into play, which make the toy work in a very characteristic way.
Here are a few of them:
- Centrifugal force
- Angular momentum
- Friction
- The principle of conservation of energy
- Sound
These laws of physics work together to create a fun and interesting toy like the Fruczka.
