Description
Created this tool to trace around irregular tools for accurate fitment. The pen stays perpendicular to the object at all times.
To help with the trace I use a little stik-tak to hold the tool parallel and secure it so it doesn’t move.
Using this with my Origin Tracer and gives me perfect amount of clearance with the 2.5mm pen.
Hardware list (designed for what I had on hand)
- 8x40 socket screw
- 5x25 socket screw
- 3x15 socket screw
- 8mm nut
- 11mm compression spring
- Pen refill for a Mini Cross pen
5x25 is the up-stop screw, adjust the pen perpendicular to the base with the pen about 1mm above the paper. A dot of glue at the pen holder is suggested to prevent the pen from sliding
