PTFE fitting PC4-M10/M6 IKEA Skadis holder (guide)
Print Profile(5)

Bill of Materials
Description
This fitting holder offers several distinct features:
- Versatility: It can accommodate one or two fittings simultaneously from the top and bottom, depending on your needs.
- Drybox support: By using two PC4-M10 (or PC4-M6) fittings per hole, you can create an air-sealed environment for feeding filament from a drybox to your printer or AMS system.
- Filament guide: Install one fitting with a small piece of PTFE tube to guide the filament, reducing bending curves and minimizing friction.
- Variability and compactness: The design includes three models for 1, 2, and 4 holes, all compact enough to fit seamlessly on a Skadis pegboard.
- Reliable connection: The clearance between the hook and the holder body has been reduced to 5mm for a snug fit on the Skadis board. Additionally, the number of walls has been increased to ensure the hook is solid and rigid.
- No waste: The model requires no brim or support during printing.
- Precision thread: A layer height of 0.12mm ensures precise printing of the thread for smooth functionality.
There are 5 print profiles available.
- 1 - First version for PC4M10 fitting for max space saving. Designed for the original white IKEA SKADIS board!
- 2- Second version for PC4M10 on 5mm wider (distance from SKADIS board) and more convenient to operate. Designed for the original white IKEA SKADIS board!
- 3- Same wider version but for PC4M6 fitting. Designed for the original white IKEA SKADIS board!
Then I realized that some SKADIS boards, especially custom-made, are thinner and my holder are not tightly sit on them. So I have published 2 more print profiles to close the gap. Please use these ones if the original holders do not fit tightly:
- 4 - PC4M10 wider version for a custom thin SKADIS board
- 5 - PC4M6 wider version for a custom thin SKADIS board
I recommend you also print this Skadis lock plug, size #6, which will perfectly fix the holder on the board.
I am using the 4-hole version with Skadis spool holders for the AMS system.
You can also see the fitting plug in the photo; the model is available here.
Happy printing!
P.S. If you are looking for a solution to reduce 3D printer noise, have a look on my soundproof enclosure design crafted from IKEA furniture. This enclosure reduces printer noise and ensures impressive 36.5 dB(A) at just 1 meter away. Detailed instruction how to build it you may find here.
