Description

Introducing the Fully Posable Universal Robot Frame!

Say hello to a 3D-printed creation inspired by some of the most iconic buildable robot figures, like Gundam, 30 Minutes Missions, Bionicle, and Hero Factory. Whether you're a seasoned builder or just getting started, this frame is packed with features to bring your ideas to life:

Features You’ll Love:

  • Easy Assembly
Putting this robot together is a breeze! The parts are divided into sections in the download, so assembly is simple and quick.
    Pro Tips:
    • When assembling the torso, make sure the flat side of Arm Joint A faces inward, while the flat side of Arm Joint B faces upward.
    • Attach the Waist Section to the Upper Torso before snapping on the Back piece as shown in the picture.
    • When assembling the feet, ensure the flat side of the shaft on the foot's middle piece is oriented facing downward.
    • After assembling the hips, remember that the Side Skirt Support plate side is facing the front.
    • When assembling the arms and legs, ensure that the upside down “T” protrusions are facing frontwards.
  • Wide Range of Motion
Pose it any way you like! This frame is designed with flexibility in mind:
    • Double-jointed limbs for dramatic action poses
    • A bendable waist for forward and backward movement
    • Full splits capability for maximum articulation
    • Can be attached to a 3mm peg display stand.
  • Make It Your Own
Customize your frame with any filament color or material you prefer. Your imagination is the limit!
  • Armor and Weapons Galore
Equip your frame with interchangeable armor sets with unique themes and features.
    • I’m working on some sample armor sets now (hopefully they’re ready before the contest ends!).
  • Want to design your own armor? Go for it—the frame is built for creative freedom.
  • Cross Compatibility?
For all Gunpla fans, this frame is compatible with most 1/144 Gundam hands and weapons, making it even more versatile.

A Few Things to Note:

  • Joint Tightness: Some joints might feel a bit loose after printing. You can easily tighten them with a dab of super glue, (acetone free) nail polish, or any method you prefer.
  • Printing Details: Certain parts will need supports, and a little post-processing (like sanding) may be required for the perfect finish. In addition, the circular details on the limb joints may not need supports, only the pegs.
  • Size Reference: For comparison, I used the HG Revive Density Gundam, EG Nu Gundam F, and Minipla King Ohger.

Let’s Hear Your Thoughts!

I’d love to hear your feedback on how I can make this project even better. Got suggestions? Let me know!

The Universal Robot Frame is all about creativity, customization, and fun—so get building and let your imagination take the lead!
