Description

Hello Makers,

check out this mechanical bottle opener with internal counter.

All parts can be printed without supports and almost every material can be used.

I tryed to use only parts everyone has at home so you just need:

1-2x rubber band

1x 5 cent coin (euro)

Quantity of printed parts:

1x BC_Bottleopener

1x BC_Bottleopener_OnewaySpring

1x BC_BottleopenerCover

1x BC_Case

1x BC_CaseOnewaySpring

4x BC_DigitGear

1x BC_IdlerGear

3x BC_Minigear

1x BC_OnewayGear

1x BC_Wallmount

1x_BC_MinigearAxis

2x BC_CounterAxis

1x BC_BottleopenerPin

1x BC_BottleopenerAxis

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • The bottleopener itself is improved so bottles are easier to open now
  • The Wallmount can be screwed in place or 20x3mm magnets can be used

For assembly you can follow the steps in my assemly video:

I hope you enjoy this project!

I am looking forward to see all the makes and remixes!

Printed flawlessly and was easy to assemble, although it should be mentioned that the cogs are not symmetric ( on the first try i mount the small one in the wrong way and the counter was not switching when opening the bottles).

Looks like your first gear is wrong aligned

you mean the counter one on the right? if so, it was because i was experimenting with the counter... i realigned it after the photos

Schöne Idee. Funktioniert auch gut. Den Öffner habe ich aber in PA/cf gedruckt, da PLA bei der dritten Flasche brach.

I used eight 20x3mm magnets to fix it to the fridge. Attention! In the step file of the wall mount the rectengular cutout for the locking mechanism is missing. Nevertheless: Great design! TYVM!

i tried and in my case it doesn’t stay completely on the fridge while open the bottle. you have to hold it a little.

it seems there is an error on the length of a component which causes the gear to move too much and therefore does not click. in this way the counter does not actually record the movement, but remains stationary

U made something wrong in the assembly. Reassemble it again and try to it the same way I did in the assembly Video

The inner housing should not be printed with PETG, because the vastly different layer times will lead to insufficient layer adhesion and breaking. Reprinted in PLA and it works well.

consiglio la stampa sul piatto engineering, il modello è di auper qualità, facile l'assemblaggio e molto resistente!
