My wife wanted some more fences for her Department 56 Dickens Village. She had a small section of fence that cost her $40. I told her I could not only make more fences but also do it better.
This has taken me over 3 months to design and countless prototypes and additional modifications to be able to print this in a timely and reliable manner.
To minimize filament swaps and speed the process up by 20x I made the brick base modular with slide in thin brick panels. This dramatically reduced the number of color swaps as it was only doing around 4 layers of colors versus 100+.
I also placed holes for magnets at each end of the fence so you can click them together. The fence pieces are are deigned that they align when put together with another fence piece.
I've included the basic wrought iron fence in this upload. If you want the holiday version of the fence with the wreath and bows as pictured you can get that version here → https://hartdesignstudios.com/shop/ols/products/holiday-wrought-iron-fence-stl
You can get the 2mm magnets off amazon here → Amazon.com: 150PCS D4X2mm Small Round Used in Refrigerator Science and Technology Projects Personalized Multi-Function Multi-Purpose Small Magnet : Home & Kitchen
