Inspired by Bambu Lab's recent clock competition, this interactive and visually engaging clock was designed using Rhino's Grasshopper plugin.

After several days of design refinement, the interactive clock 1.0 version is now released. Currently suitable as an ornament, I bought an electronic clock and found that its underlying mechanism lacked sufficient power for automatic rotation, so a 2.0 version will be developed subsequently.

This model comprises eleven small components---each uploaded as a separate model resource.

Component One: Clock Base

The base serves to secure the interactive mechanism's movement (print file tray 1)

Component Two: Interactive Mechanism

The interactive mechanism is designed as small units (print file tray 2). Twelve sets are needed. Due to limitations with my equipment, multi-part printing (poor quality) has been avoided. Consequently, a file containing twelve units isn't uploaded.

Component Three: Replacement Part, which can be inserted into the clock base

Two copies are needed for clock assembly (print file tray 3). Printing two provides eight parts. Replace Component Two's parts as shown in the diagram. This allows movement along the base's track.

Component Four: Hands

One copy is required (print file tray 4). The source file is provided. You can customize the hand design to your liking.

Component Five: Mechanism Control Part

Two copies are needed for clock assembly (print file tray 5). Install in the locations shown after printing.

Note that one part named "Movement Part" needs to replace a part in Component 3.

This completes the printing and assembly of the initial interactive clock.
