Description

I designed this modern vase consisting of two parts. The outer part is printed in vase mode and prints in about 4 hours. To be water tight I added a inner part which is printed with 4 wall perimeters (2 hours print time). I printed everything in Bambu Lab PLA (matt for the outside). As far as I can tell, the vase is water tight and pretty sturdy.

If I load your file in BambuStudio - there is only a cylinder without any whole?

Hi @johanneshien, you have to slice it otherwise you only see the outer shape without the whole. The outer part is printed in spiral vase and the inner part with no infill and no top layer. This will result in the vase shape. Use the 3mf/print profiles so everything is already set up correctly.

the outer shell should be printed in spiral vase mode and is not 100% water tight. therefore I designed this inset (here in white) which has 3-4 wall perimeters and is water tight (I tested it in a real life situation).

this one is very very close to being watertight for me! with 6layers and 6 concentric bottom layers it holds waters for days without losing a drop. don‘t forget to switch on random seams.
