This is a version of door handles for an ikea lack enclosure that includes insertion slots for 10mm x 2mm magnets, and microswitches for “door open” sensors. I was using 2.5mm plexiglass for my enclosure, so that is what these are sized for. At some point I will try to re-size and upload 3mm versions, so, add a comment if you are in need to motivate me.

Notes / Instructions:

• Make sure you insert the magnets with the right polarity so the door handles will be attracted, and not repelled.
• The two microswitches need to be wired in parallel, preferably so the circuit is closed if either door is open, and the circuit is open only with both doors are closed.
• The door sensor pin needs to be printed as smooth as possible. I had to gently sand it to get rid of the rough edges, and also had to sand the pin slightly to allow the microswitch to “click” everytime the door was opened/closed.
