Description
Welding Machine
Part of a Series
The welding machine is part of a series of several models (mainly workshop equipment) that I have designed for my engine shed (N gauge). I will gradually publish further models.
The Model
The welding machine is intended to replicate a large, older welding machine in a locomotive workshop or railway depot, at least that's how I imagine it :) Compared to a person, it is quite large and massive, but it is also old. It has ventilation grilles on the sides and top, which are very nicely rendered during printing. In addition, it has several rotary knobs and switches at the front (these can be printed multi-colored with AMS). The connection at the front is connected to the underside via a bore, so that the wires of the LEDs can be correctly connected to the device and then disappear invisibly into the floor - this allows a realistic flickering to be imitated during welding (see gif).
The model is approximately 4 x 6 x 8mm in size (scale 1:160 or N gauge). However, it can easily be resized in Bambu Slicer to fit the scale, for example, to H0 (1:87) or TableTop, etc.
Check out my profile, there are matching welding walls!
Instructions
Since the model is very small and filigree, you urgently need a 0.2mm nozzle for printing!
If it is printed with a larger nozzle, many details will be lost or not printed at all. The print profile includes the AMS option, you can print the welding machine in two colors. Since there are only two layer changes, the printing time is not very long either (see photo).
keep bastling
I always appreciate a photo or comment :)
