Description
Keep your filament dry with this simple spool holder designed to fit up to an 8" spool in 4L air tight cereal boxes. There is a cutout in the front for a mini hygrometer to track the humidity and temperature of your filament. There is space behind and underneath the spool to fit your preferred desiccant. I personally use 100g reusable packs slotted behind the spool. Follow the affiliate links below for the exact containers and hygrometers used in this project.
I was able to print this with no supports on my P1S. There was some minor sag under the overhang, but this is covered by the hygrometer. You can print up to three at once on a 256x256 bed.

I printed a batch of 3 of these in black PLA, and then one in blue PLA on my X1C. They came out very tidy... I'm still waiting on the hygros and containers to arrive from Amazon (I used the affiliate links so hopefully the author got a little cut of the $) so I don't know how well everything goes together yet, but I expect it should work out well... These will be my preferred spool storage solution rather than vacuum bags that seem to leak most of the time. UPDATE: Hygrometers snap into place perfectly and the whole things fits nicely into the box with a 100g desiccant pack in the back. This is my new filament storage solution and I'm very happy with it.

Glad you like it! As my filament supply keeps expanding I keep making more. I recently moved my filaments into a large cabinet so I might need to make a top mount hygrometer holder as well.

I've expanded my collection and I'm really happy with this solution. I use velcro to label the boxes with printed swatches that I can move to my AMS as needed.
