Description

Assemble with CA glue,

Assemble parts without the lid, and check for proper fit. While holding the sides together, fit the lid by relaxing the sides to engage the hinge pin. Check that the lid moves freely, you can now add a few drops of CA glue seams. The parts fit 3mm into the sides so it's not difficult to get the parts aligned. The PLA profile is a ‘snuggish’ fit, and the ABS is quite loose.

 

Please post makes, and use 2 colors. I printed about 6 of these in PLA and ABS and I was just too tired printing the same thing yet again :)

Note: The box width is for q-tips around 76mm the internal width is 80mm. You can change the width to suit yours by scaling all the upright parts in the Z direction. They are all 86mm tall and fit 3mm into the sides so you're left with 80mm.

It can be put in, but it's very tight. It could be designed to be larger.

It looks like your q-tips are longer, you can scale the the bridging pieces to be taller in z when printed. The tight fit is because I design for ABS which seems to have better tolerances than PLA. Thanks for the feedback.
