Description

Attached are 2 profiles for the clock in 2 different sizes. The larger clock fills the Plate on a Bambu A1, P1 or X1 Printer at a size of about 195mm x 233mm. The larger clock is a perfect size for a wall clock. The smaller clock fits the bed of an A1 Mini at a size of 138mm x 165mm and will of course also print on an A1, X1 or P1 printer. The smaller clock can be used as a wall clock but the size is better suited for a desk or shelf clock.

The profiles do require use of an AMS. I printed using Bambu PLA Red, Beige and Black. White could be substituted for beige, but I preferred the off white or beige versus pure white for the clock. I also used Sunlu's Pure Yellow as my fourth color. I like Sunlu's darker shade of yellow provided by their Pure Yellow compared to Bambu's and other manufacturer's yellow.

The model does take a fair amount of supports to print. I had the choice of multiple glue together pieces with very little supports or a single piece solution with much more supports. I opted for the single piece solution.

The printed hands are optional. Some clock movements come with their own decorative hands that you may choose to use. As I have found there are different shaft diameters (clock hand hole opening) and the ones I've included may not work on your clock movement. They worked with 2 of my clock movements and not the third.

For the clock movement, I used a 56mm x 56 mm, 16 mm thick clock movement readily available via Amazon from numerous vendors. The design accommodates a brass threaded shaft diameter of 7.5 mm (0.29"). The brass portion of the shaft needs to be 8.5mm in length or greater. I used an 11.7mm brass shaft and wished I had an 8.5mm length instead. The following Amazon Clock Movements are just a few that will work:

TIKROUND Youngtown 12888 Quartz DIY Wall Clock Movement 3/8" or 7/16" thread length.

Use only the brass nut and not the brass washer as it's not needed and will cover some of the clock graphics.
