Description
Summary
battletank, based on the miniplan tanks, but with a esp32 mini, steering through Dabble (bluetooth) and tires instead of tracks. Program is attached. I made two of them (different turret, different color).
Parts:
- esp32 mini
- L293d motordriver ic
- N20 motors (used 150 rpm here)
- DFplayer mini
- miniature speaker
- L7805 voltage regulator
- common cathode RGB led
- mini servo
- any IR receiver
- IR led
- Brick tires
- axle adapters (https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005005339860882.html)
- 7.4 V li-ion battery
- some capacitors and resistors (Voltage regulator and LED)
- 2n3904 transistor to amplify IR signal (see schematics)
- 10K resistor to pullup GPIO35 on the esp32
- a small on/off switch
- power inlet (battery charge)
- epoxy glue to secure the motors and battery
- hotglue to secure wiring
- a little piece of felt (on of those self-adhesive furniture thingys)
Attention points:
- a lot of wiring in a cramped place, so keep your wires as thin and short as possible.
- it is advised to work out the wiring in advance, mine looks a bit too much like spaghetti.
- advise is to remix it so the esp32 can be programmed from outside (:))
- make sure the turret can move freely after assembling.
- a lot of parameters can be adjusted according to what you want. Program is still WIP.
- a common 1 transistor amplifier is used to amplify the ir sender. I used a 2n3904; any npn will do.
- the df player mini uses two wires of wich one has a resistor on one of the lines. (unlike the miniplan tank) and uses hardwareserial. (see the ino file, softwareserial didn't work on the esp32)
