Line Cube Clock: A Cubic Desktop Timepiece Defined by Lines
In 2018, I meticulously crafted a desktop clock, its design concept centered on the dynamic interplay of lines and planes. Today, I present a 3D-printed iteration of this timepiece, enhanced with components from Maker's Supply, for your enjoyment and creation.

Assembly Instructions:
1. Secure the clock mechanism within the casing, firmly tightening the retaining screws.
2. Insert the printed minute and hour hands onto the clock mechanism's shaft. The hour hand corresponds to the component with a wider gap between the central lines; the minute hand, to the component with a narrower gap. The second hand is identified by a single central line with a circular marking.
3. Carefully snap off the two terminal ends of the second hand, leaving the circular portion intact. Insert this into its designated slot, employing adhesive for enhanced security. Then, install the second hand.
Installation steps:
1. Place the clock core into the casing and tighten the fixing screws.
2. Insert the printed minute and hour hands into the clock core shaft. The hour hand is a box with a wider distance between the middle two lines, the minute hand is a box with a narrower distance between the middle two lines, and the second hand is a box with a circle on the middle single line.
3. Break the two ends of the second hand, leaving a circular part, and insert it into the groove of the second hand (glue can be used to increase stability), and install the second hand.

Upon completing hand installation, carefully align the three hands to achieve approximate parallelism. This optimal alignment ensures the clock's smooth operation.
After installing the pointers, please adjust them so that the three pointers are as parallel as possible, which will help the clock work properly.


This design provides two casing options. The first, a minimalist smooth casing (print file Tray 1), exudes a sleek, unified aesthetic. Alternatively, a casing featuring a cross-hatch dial (print file Tray 3) enhances readability. Choose the version that best suits your preference.
This model offers two types of watch cases, one is a glossy case (print file tray 1), which is pure and appears to have a unified style; Another type is a dial with a cross scale (print file tray 3), which is convenient for reading the time. You can download it according to your own needs.
